• Your consent to the handling of your information, and your acknowledgement regarding the attorney-client relationship

Only the basic details needed to review your request and contact you are requested at this stage. The phone number is optional.

The inquiry form is deliberately limited: it does not ask for the facts of your matter, evidence, identification numbers, or supporting documents, and it does not accept file or document uploads. Please do not send such material through this website. If further information is needed, our legal team will contact you separately and arrange an appropriate way to receive it.

If you contact us by email or through another channel, we also receive the information contained in your message.

2. How We Use Information

Information submitted to us may be used to:

3. Attorney-Client Relationship

Submitting information through this website does not itself create an attorney-client relationship.

Representation begins only after YUSU Lawfirm confirms acceptance of the matter and the required engagement arrangements have been completed.

4. Retention

Information submitted through the inquiry form on this website is retained on the website for up to 7 days and is then deleted automatically.

Email correspondence and other inquiry-related records held by the firm are generally retained for up to 90 days after the inquiry or the conclusion of related communications, where an inquiry does not result in an engagement.

Information may be retained for a longer period where required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal rights or other applicable legal obligations.

Where YUSU Lawfirm accepts a matter, the information relating to that matter is no longer handled under the retention periods described above and is managed under the firm’s separate matter-management and legal-records retention requirements.

5. Deletion

When personal information is no longer required and no applicable legal or legitimate retention basis remains, YUSU Lawfirm takes steps to delete or securely dispose of the information.

Deletion is carried out under the confirmation of the representative attorney or a designated responsible person, and may include relevant website form entries, email records and other working copies under the firm’s control.

Information contained in system backups may remain until the applicable backup rotation expires, subject to access restrictions and normal backup-management procedures.

6. Who May Access Information

Access to inquiry information is limited to YUSU Lawfirm attorneys and authorized personnel who require access for inquiry review, conflict checking, communication, consultation scheduling or legal-service administration.

Within the firm, the representative attorney may access inquiry information generally, attorneys access the matters assigned to them, and authorized staff access only the minimum information necessary for their role. Detailed legal-matter information is handled on a need-to-know basis.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we hold.

No website, email system or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please consider this before sending highly sensitive details in an initial inquiry.

8. Service Providers and International Processing

YUSU Lawfirm uses third-party service providers to operate this website and to communicate with people who contact us. Website hosting for koreanlegaladvice.com is provided through Hostinger, and the hosting infrastructure is operated outside the Republic of Korea. Personal information submitted through this website is therefore processed and stored outside Korea.

This is the entrustment of processing and storage of personal information that is necessary for the conclusion and performance of a contract with the data subject, within the meaning of Article 28-8(1)3 of the Personal Information Protection Act. Where personal information is transferred abroad on that basis, the Act allows the matters listed in Article 28-8(2) to be disclosed in this Privacy Policy instead of obtaining separate consent for the transfer. Those matters are set out below.

Recipient. HOSTINGER PTE. LTD., a Singapore private limited company with a registered address at 16 Raffles Quay, #33-03, Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581, which under Hostinger’s Terms of Service is the contracting entity for customers located in the Republic of Korea. Privacy-related requests to Hostinger may be directed to the contact designated in Hostinger’s Privacy Policy, gdpr@hostinger.com.

Personal information transferred. The information submitted through the inquiry form on this website: the legal service selected, full name, email address, phone number where voluntarily provided, preferred language, whether there is an urgent deadline, and the consent and acknowledgement recorded with the inquiry. The form does not collect the facts of a matter, evidence, identification numbers or supporting documents, and it does not accept file uploads, so no such material is transferred through this website.

Country of transfer. The hosting infrastructure is operated outside the Republic of Korea, and the information described above is therefore processed and stored outside Korea. The locations are set out below, separated by how they have been established.

Current hosting locations

The Hostinger control panel for this hosting account currently identifies the website server location as Malaysia and the hosting backup location as Singapore. These are the hosting locations confirmed for this website at the date of this policy, and they may change if the hosting configuration changes.

Other processing locations identified by Hostinger

Separately, Hostinger’s own Privacy Policy states that information may be maintained, processed and stored by Hostinger and its authorized affiliates and service providers in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Lithuania or Cyprus, and in other jurisdictions as necessary. These are general processing locations described by the provider for its services and supporting infrastructure. They are not represented here as confirmed hosting locations for this specific website unless independently confirmed.

Time and method of transfer. Information is transmitted electronically over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the website hosting infrastructure at the time you submit the inquiry, and is stored on that infrastructure.

Purpose of use by the recipient. Provision of website hosting and of the online inquiry system on this website, including the processing and storage that hosting necessarily involves, and related infrastructure, security and backup operations. Hostinger acts as our hosting service provider in relation to this information.

Period of retention and use. Inquiry form entries under our control on this website are deleted after up to 7 days. Where an inquiry does not result in an engagement, inquiry-related records held by the firm, such as email correspondence, are retained as described in section 4, for up to 90 days. Where YUSU Lawfirm accepts a matter, the information relating to that matter is managed under the firm’s separate matter-management and legal-records retention requirements rather than under the periods above. Information held within the hosting provider’s own infrastructure, including system backups, is separate from the records we control and is handled under that provider’s applicable retention and backup practices, and may remain until those processes complete.

9. Cookies, Analytics and External Technical Resources

This website does not currently use Google Analytics or similar behavioural analytics services to track visitor activity.

The website and the platform on which it operates may still use cookies or limited technical storage that are necessary for website functionality, security and inquiry processing. We do not currently use cookies for advertising, profiling or cross-site behavioural tracking.

Certain technical resources, including web fonts, may be loaded from external providers. When these resources are requested, technical information such as an IP address, browser type or device information may be transmitted to the relevant provider and handled under that provider’s own privacy practices.

Search-engine and website-performance tools may be used administratively to monitor search visibility and website performance. These tools are separate from the content submitted through a legal inquiry form.

10. External Communication Channels

If you choose to contact us through an external communication service such as KakaoTalk, information you provide through that service may also be processed under that service provider’s own privacy practices.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of information, suspension or restriction of processing, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

Requests may be made using the privacy contact below. We may need to confirm your identity before responding, and we may be unable to grant a request in whole or in part where applicable law, professional obligations or an ongoing legal matter requires the information to be retained. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
